Parent Guide
Planning summer for your child should feel exciting, not stressful. This guide answers the most common questions families have about Da Vinci Jr. camps and what to expect during the week.
What Makes Da Vinci Jr Different
At Da Vinci Jr., campers don’t just watch demonstrations or follow simple instructions. They build, create, and experiment with real tools and materials.
Whether they’re designing a robot, launching rockets, or preparing a theater performance, campers learn by doing. Our programs are designed to help students develop curiosity, confidence, and creative problem-solving skills while having a lot of fun.
What a Typical Camp Day Looks Like
Each day is structured to balance focused project work with creativity, collaboration, and movement.
A typical day may include:
• Project building or engineering challenges
• Hands-on science experiments
• Creative design or art activities
• Outdoor breaks and social time
• Team collaboration and problem solving
On Fridays, families are invited to a Family Showcase, where campers demonstrate what they built or created during the week.
Staff and Supervision
Safety and supervision are always a priority.
Da Vinci Jr. camps maintain a low staff-to-camper ratio, allowing instructors to work closely with students and provide individualized guidance during projects and activities.
Campers are supported throughout the day as they explore new ideas and challenges.
Experience Level
No prior robotics, engineering, or theater experience is required.
Our camps are designed so that beginners can jump in comfortably while students with previous experience can still take on meaningful challenges.
The goal is for every camper to feel both supported and challenged.
What Campers Should Bring
Campers should bring:
• Lunch and a water bottle
• Comfortable clothes suitable for hands-on activities
• Curiosity and creativity
All project materials and equipment are provided.
Camp Locations
Da Vinci Jr. camps are hosted at partner schools and community locations.
Each location provides classroom space for building and creating, as well as access to outdoor areas for breaks and activities.
Details for each location can be found on the Locations page.
